Our client, an agricultural equipment manufacturing company, is seeking a Supply Chain/Materials Manager to join their team. As a materials Manager, you will be part of the Operations Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience for leading all purchasing, procurement, and materials management activities to ensure the company maintains optimal inventory levels, reliable supplier partnerships, and cost-effective sourcing. This is a position also involved with Change Management and should be experienced in low volume, quick turns manufacturing. Visa candidates will not be considered, and this is not a remote role.

Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing & Procurement
- Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely supply of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors and suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain.
- Materials Management & Inventory Control
- Oversee inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency, minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Implement inventory management systems, processes, and best practices. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10 years of progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain, or materials management (manufacturing industry preferred).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP (Epicor) /MRP systems and APICS, CPSM, or similar certification preferred.
- Leadership experience with proven ability to manage and develop a team.
