Mechanical Reliability Engineer (Entry-Level)

Our client, a global life sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing leader, is seeking an Entry‑Level Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering organization supporting Manufacturing Operations and Automated Production Systems.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on, mechanically curious, and a collaborative problem solver who enjoys working in fast‑paced industrial environments and making a direct impact on equipment reliability and uptime.

Pay Range:

$39.43/hour (long‑term contract, 6 months with possible extension)

What’s the Job?

• Perform hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of industrial production and material handling equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, motors, bearings, belts, and chains.
• Diagnose mechanical root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.
• Execute and improve preventive maintenance activities such as lubrication, alignment, inspections, and mechanical adjustments.
• Support mechanical installation, alignment, and commissioning of new or modified automation equipment.
• Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  
  

What’s Needed?

• 0–3 years of hands‑on mechanical, industrial maintenance, or reliability experience (internships, co‑ops, or military experience accepted).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with components such as bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, couplings, and basic hydraulics or pneumatics.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or automated production environment.
• Comfort using hand tools and mechanical diagnostic tools (torque tools, alignment tools, basic electrical checks).
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing ladders, and working around operating machinery.
