Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a global leader in adhesives, sealants, and industrial manufacturing solutions, is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Packaging Equipment to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing & Maintenance Department supporting packaging and production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a hands-on technical approach, and a continuous improvement mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (18-month contract)

Location: Geneva, NY

Pay Range: $28 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Diagnose, repair, changeover, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and identify/correct mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct line changeovers, equipment setup, line alterations, and rebuilds as required by production schedules
• Analyze CMMS and MES data to troubleshoot routine and complex equipment downtime issues and implement corrective actions
• Assist engineering and manufacturing teams, train team members on basic maintenance, and support equipment installations
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of packaging or manufacturing equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills using CMMS and/or MES systems
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and safety regulations
• Ability to fabricate and repair parts; forklift operation experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to train and support production teams
