About The Role
We’re looking for a Maintenance Area Supervisor to lead skilled trades teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive equipment reliability, coach your team, and ensure maintenance operations meet safety, quality, and production goals.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate professional and breakdown maintenance activities to support production targets.
- Improve equipment throughput, reliability, and uptime.
- Mentor and coach team members using Stellantis Production Way (SPW) methodologies.
- Supervise Skilled Trades employees in daily operations and continuous improvement efforts.
- Partner with Professional Maintenance Specialists to resolve equipment issues and reduce downtime.
- Champion waste reduction initiatives through SPW pillars: AM, PM, QM, FI, and PD.
- Lead Kaizen activities to boost Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial automation experience project management.
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
- Ability to coach and develop skilled trades employees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical/engineering field.
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
- Leadership experience in a union environment.
- Green Belt/Red X/Six Sigma training.
- Familiarity with controls, robotics, welding, paint processes, vision systems, and sensors.
- Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies.
- Google Suite proficiency.
