Materials Coordinator

The Materials Coordinator supports all activities related to kitting, receiving, shipping, and shop floor control. This role ensures efficient material flow throughout the manufacturing plant to meet production demands and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track the flow of materials and work orders between departments to support and expedite production.
- Support and follow lean manufacturing principles, including new process and product implementation.
- Perform accurate data entry for material kit transactions and inventory updates.
- Maintain kitting accuracy and generate reports on kitting performance and statistics.
- Monitor the status of kits in the kitting area and proactively resolve issues to ensure on-time delivery to production and external operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; identify and address unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material or safety-related issues.
- Provide support across other material handling functions (receiving, shipping, inventory) as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–5 years of warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience tracking and managing work orders in a production environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
