Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Material Handler I to support warehouse operations within a medical device manufacturing environment. This role focuses on inbound receiving, inventory management, and material delivery to production. The position operates under FDA-regulated SOPs and requires strict adherence to quality and compliance standards.
This role involves handling temperature-sensitive materials in a facility with multiple controlled environments, including refrigerated, frozen, and deep-freeze zones.
Schedule & Overtime
- Standard hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (may extend to 3:30 PM per business needs)
- Overtime: Voluntary, typically up to 1 hour per day
- Weekend Work: Voluntary, as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inbound receiving and material verification
- Manage and track inventory using ERP systems and scanning devices
- Deliver materials to production areas in a timely manner
- Operate powered industrial equipment (PIT) as needed
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain audit readiness
- Work safely across various temperature-controlled environments
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working in cold, refrigerated, and freezer conditions
- Willingness to train on and operate powered industrial equipment (PIT)
- No fear of heights (equipment may require elevated work with harnessing)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict SOPs
- Basic computer skills (ERP systems, scanners, communication tools)
- High School Diploma or GED required
