PURPOSE: Provide site safety advice and consultation; ensure compliance with corporate safety standards; implement safety directives; improve safety performance; monitor safety policies, procedures and governmental regulations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices on all MMA job sites.
• Facilitate a work environment that promotes a safe and healthy culture.
• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of various safety equipment.
• Inspect project sites and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, as well as ensure safety regulation compliance.
• Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and monitor return-to-work activities.
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes for hazardous conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years of progressive safety experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Thorough knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations.
• Basic proficiency with MS-Office.
• CHST or CSP is a plus
• Must have satisfactory background check.
