What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Manero s Restaurant?
Job Summary:
The Dishwasher will ensure that wares for the front and back of the house are clean and sanitized.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Washes all wares including pots, pans, plates, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
- Correctly stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
- Stocks serving stations, kitchen stations, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
- Empties trash and cleans trash receptacles as appropriate.
- Keeps dishwashing area clean and safe.
- Assists with other cleaning and food prep as directed by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to get dishes and other service items and equipment clean using manual handwashing and dishwashing machine.
- Ability to learn and perform proper cleaning and food preparation procedures.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a quality fashion.
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully with kitchen and other restaurant staff.
- Knowledge of and adherence to safe food handling techniques & procedures,
Education and Experience:
- Restaurant experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
- Must frequently immerse hands in water.
- Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.
