Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Flooring Specialist to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of flooring materials across commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure high-quality finishes that meet safety standards and client expectations. Duties

• Install various flooring types including tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with accuracy and attention to detail
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying primers or adhesives as needed for optimal flooring adhesion
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to ensure correct installation procedures
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and install flooring materials efficiently
• Conduct inspections during and after installation to ensure quality standards are met and rectify any issues promptly
• Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate work sequences
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal to promote safety on-site

Experience

• Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction roles with a strong understanding of construction management principles
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to flooring projects
• Hands-on experience with various construction techniques such as concrete finishing, masonry, plastering, and restoration is a plus
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to assess project scope accurately
• Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized fabrication machinery used in flooring work
• Background in related trades such as carpentry, tile laying, roofing, or masonry enhances versatility
• Ability to interpret technical documents including schematics for electrical or plumbing systems that impact flooring installations
