Arnquist Flooring is seeking a driven Project Manager – Sales to lead commercial flooring projects from initial lead through final walk-through while building long-term relationships with general contractors, owners, and property managers. This role combines outside sales, estimating support, and hands-on project management in the field.
Key responsibilities:
- Own projects from bid award through closeout, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and installers.
- Develop and grow a book of business in commercial flooring, consistently achieving agreed-upon annual sales targets.
- Prospect for new opportunities through GC relationships, networking, outreach, and follow-up on inbound leads and bid invitations.
- Attend job walks, review plans and specifications, and collaborate with estimators on takeoffs and pricing.
- Prepare and present proposals, clarify scope, and help negotiate terms to maintain healthy profit margins.
- Build project schedules, coordinate installation crews, and ensure materials, labor, and equipment are ready on time.
- Attend construction meetings, manage RFIs and change orders, and help keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Monitor job progress in the field, verify quality of installation, and resolve site issues quickly with clients and installers.
- Track project performance, update internal systems, and keep the Arnquist team informed on status, risks, and key milestones.
- Close out projects with punch list completion, documentation, and final billing.
Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial flooring, construction project management, or construction sales required; flooring-specific experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage a project pipeline and contribute directly to revenue growth.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with confidence leading meetings and representing Arnquist Flooring with GCs and owners.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with basic technology (email, spreadsheets, and project/CRM tools).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites regularly.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
