Role Description The Hotel General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Douglas, GA, responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations. This role manages daily front desk and guest services activities, ensures consistent delivery of “Hamptonality,” and maintains high levels of guest satisfaction. The General Manager leads and develops team members, oversees housekeeping and maintenance standards, and coordinates food and beverage offerings to align with brand expectations. The position includes responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, as well as monitoring revenue performance and implementing business strategies to achieve financial targets. The General Manager also ensures compliance with Hampton and Hilton brand standards, local regulations, and safety policies, while fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in General Management and Business Management, with the ability to oversee all hotel departments and drive operational performance.
- Strong Customer Service capabilities, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences and resolving issues promptly.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior hotel or hospitality management experience, strong leadership and team development skills, and proficiency with hotel management systems and basic office software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
