III. Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in all activities of the Physical Plant Maintenance Department as assigned by supervision which may include general work in plumbing, electrical and construction.
IV. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs daily preventive and corrective repair tasks on assigned campus buildings
- Completes daily work requests
- Performs daily inspections of heating/cooling and ventilating systems
- Assists with remodeling and construction projects
- Performs emergency maintenance needs as directed (on call duty)
- Works with contractors on repair and renovation projects
- Performs miscellaneous Service Department duties
- Operates a forklift as needed
- Utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to insure personal safety
- Safely and properly operates a variety of power and hand tools including: drill press, radial saw, table saw, welding equipment, and pipe threading equipment
- Conducts general upkeep procedures (i.e. landscaping etc…)
- Conducts basic maintenance tasks
- Other duties as assigned

VI. Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of general maintenance experience
- Experience in the areas of plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, blue print and diagram reading
and painting - Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Current valid driver’s license
VII. Working Conditions / Physical Demands
- Requires both indoor and outdoor work
- Physical demands include climbing, standing, bending, pulling, pushing, lifting at least 50 pounds, and the ability to endure weather conditions

- Evening, weekend and overtime work is required
