Mid-sized law firms seek an Eviction Legal Assistant /Paralegal to support caseload of real property eviction matters in California and other Western states. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of post-foreclosure evictions experience. Related experience in supporting matters involving landlords, tenants, creditors, and/or loan servicers a plus.The Legal Assistant / Paralegal will assist attorneys with a variety of primarily residential unlawful detainer matters. Responsibilities include client, court and attorney communications, drafting letters, pleadings and motions, coordinating filings, managing deadlines. Experience with rent control issues, tenancy disputes, contested matters, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and post-judgment enforcement is a plus.Basic Requirements:Strong interpersonal and professional communication skillsExperience with Case Management SoftwareAbility to prioritize, multitask, and manage caseloads and legal deadlinesExperience with post-foreclosure evictions / unlawful detainersPreferred Qualifications:Legal drafting and proficiency with e-filing systems preferred.Experience with creditor representation and supporting litigation through trial is preferred.This position is in Office in Irvine, CA with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after the initial training period has been completed.
