Painter - Multifamily

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

I Maintenance Responsibilities

· Performs painting maintenance functions including but not limited to:

o Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, scraping, patching, drywall, priming, etc.)

o Paint interiors of vacant and occupied apartment units, including walls, ceilings, doors, and trim.

o Perform touch-ups and repaint common areas or building exteriors as needed

o Maintain cleanliness and organization of painting materials and workspaces.

o Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to schedule and complete painting tasks during unit turnovers.

o Report needed repairs or safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor or property Manager.

o Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and proper handling of materials and equipment.

II Customer Service Responsibilities

· Communicates clearly to residents.

· Reads and/or listen to resident requests/complaints in a calm and open manner.

· Attend and assist in resident activities and functions after hours as needed.

III Administrative Responsibilities

· Records activities as directed, in maintenance log/work orders/property management software system.

· Completes all ChartwellMakor Edge 2 Learn training in time frame specified.

IV Company Responsibilities

· Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager with other tasks as requested.

· Comply with Company policies.

· Embraces and execute the vision, mission, and beliefs of the Company.

· Supports the safety program.

· Be punctual and present at work when scheduled.

· Flexible schedule is required including availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

V Qualifications

· Education and Experience

o High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Special Skills Required

o Good time management skills

o Strong customer service orientation

o Represent oneself and the company in a professional manner

o Must have the ability to reason and use good judgment.

o Knowledge of painting techniques, materials and safety procedures.

o Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

· Knowledge

o Federal, State and Local Fair Housing laws

o OSHA and EPA regulations and company safety policies

o

License(s) or Certification(s) :

• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance required

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Painters will spend most of their time performing painting tasks.
• Interior and exterior work as needed.
• Prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching is required.
• The ability to frequently transport or move up to 50 pounds variable distances is required.
• The mobility and flexibility to use ladders to access heights in excess of eight to nine feet is required.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
