Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Design Fellowship role based in Hattiesburg, MS. The candidate will assist with tasks such as developing design concepts, creating graphic materials, conducting research, drafting architectural plans using BIM software, and supporting the team in other design-related activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enhance technical knowledge in the fields of architecture and design.
The following lists some of the roles and responsibilities:
- Organization and execution of tasks assigned to them accurately and on time.
- Navigation, interpretation, and research of building codes and ordinances.
- Coordination with other team members, engineers, and consultants.
- Technical proficiency with BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and other applications.
- Preparation of scaled drawings and contract documents.
- Occasional onsite observation of work during Construction Administration.
- Assistance in proper documentation of project files.
Job Qualifications
Qualified candidates need to have the following core competencies and experience.
- Enrolled or Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize simultaneous assignments and work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of architectural principles and practices.
- Knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
- Proficiency in the following software packages is preferred: BIM Software (ArchiCAD, Chief Architect), G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Etc.), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop), Rendering Platforms (D5 Render, Twin Motion)
