A Day In The Life
- Safety first! Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g. Fluid
systems, lights, wheel chair lift, etc.) to ensure the safe
operating condition of the vehicle and compliance
- Organize pupil information in order to produce and update route maps
- Communicate directly with parents/guardians for the purpose of
drop-off times, locations, any physical/medical requirements,
parents concerns, etc.)
- Clean assigned vehicle, both interior and exterior, for the purpose
- Direct the orderly loading and unloading of students to avoid
- Monitor students and other passengers during transit including
established rules and maintaining passenger safety
- Provides emergency first aid and/or CPR as necessary
- Complete and submit reports of incidents, complaints, accidents,
appropriate personnel
- Conduct emergency evacuation drills to ensure efficiency of
