A good runner is the reason a busy room feels effortless. Food lands hot. Drinks arrive before anyone has to ask. Tables get cleared without a guest noticing it happened. The server looks like they’re everywhere at once — because they have someone behind them making that possible.
It’s a fast, physical, team-first role. No experience necessary. What matters is that you move with purpose, pay attention, and take genuine pride in a room that runs right.
THE ROLE
You’ll work the floor alongside servers and bartenders, keeping food and drinks moving and the dining room clear. On a busy night you’ll cover a lot of ground — from the kitchen pass to the patio and back again. The team depends on you to keep pace and stay sharp.
What the work looks like day to day:
- Run food from the kitchen to the correct table, accurately and promptly
- Deliver drinks to guests when the floor gets busy
- Bus and reset tables efficiently so the next guest sits down to a clean one
- Assist servers and bartenders with whatever the moment calls for
- Keep an eye on the floor — a water that needs refilling, a plate ready to be cleared, a table waiting on something
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and floor team throughout service
- Help with opening and closing side work as part of the team
