TITLE:

 Painter

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials and application techniques common to the painting trade.
• Demonstrates aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.

• Must be able to safely lift and carry 55 lbs.

REPORTS TO:

Paint Lead

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Must perform all aspect of painting requirements the district may require as scheduled by the Paint Lead.

• Applies protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer and/or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment and other structures.
• Washes, scrapes, sands, torches and/or smoothes interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing, lacquering or applying other related materials.
• Cleans equipment, paint mixing area and work area.
• Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating material and other hazardous materials.

• Must perform all duties assigned by Paint Lead  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Twelve month basis.  Salary to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy.
