Job Summary:
As a Baker at Main Street Market, you'll be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods from scratch. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the high quality and consistency our customers have come to expect, while contributing to a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, muffins, cookies, croissants and other baked items daily
- Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area and equipment
- Ensure all ingredients and products are properly labeled and stored
- Assist in inventory tracking and restocking baking supplies as needed
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Occasionally assist with custom or seasonal orders
Qualifications:
- Previous baking experience preferred (professional or home baking)
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards
- Ability to follow recipes and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Willingness to work early morning hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Self-starter
