A sole practitioner estate planning and administration law firm in West Chester is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support the attorney in a variety of legal and administrative matters. This position is ideal for a professional who is organized, client-focused, and comfortable managing files from intake through completion. Prior probate experience is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file legal documents related to estate planning and administration matters
- Draft correspondence, basic legal documents, and routine filings under attorney supervision
- Assist with case management, including tracking key information, deadlines, and required documentation
- Communicate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other parties with professionalism and empathy
- Manage case files, calendars, and scheduling
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with firm procedures
- Support the attorney with document review, research, and administrative tasks
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (practice area flexible)
- Interest in estate planning, probate, or related legal work
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Education & Certification
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Paralegal certificate is a plus, but not required
