As a Lactation Consultant you will be educating and supporting new moms while they are an inpatient and will continue the support by calling patients within a month of discharge to ensure all of the patient’s needs have been met. You will serve as an Educator/Consultant to nurses and other healthcare professionals within the Women’s and Children service line when additional interventions are identified for the patient. Our unit has 28 beds unit

Position: Lactation Consultant
Shift: 20 hours per week, evening shift 11am- 7:30pm or 3:00pm11:30am and every other Saturday 3 holidays per year
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience providing healthcare and /or education in Women’s Health preferred.
Education:
1. Knowledge of fetal, newborn, and maternal anatomy/physiology.
2. Bachelor's Degree in related discipline preferred.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. Current RN License preferred OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
2. Certification with the International Board Lactation Consultants Examiners required.
Salary : $6,000
