This role will lead financial operations, oversee the accounting team, and play a key role in migrating our ERP system from Microsoft Great Plains to Microsoft Business Central. This position is ideal for a hands-on finance leader with strong people skills and experience in product-based businesses.About the Role:The Controller will balance tactical accounting leadership with strategic financial insight. You will partner closely with leadership, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and guide systems and process improvements. This role is well-suited for someone who leads through influence, values team engagement, and can drive change without a heavy-handed, top-down approach.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bookkeepingManage and support an established accounting teamPartner with leadership on financial strategy and analysisOwn ERP system administration and lead ERP migration initiativesEnsure accurate financial reporting and internal controlsWork closely with external accountants as neededImprove processes while maintaining team engagement and trustRequired Qualifications:Proven experience as a Controller or senior finance leaderStrong background in ERP systems, including Microsoft Great Plains and/or Business CentralExperience with ERP implementations or migrationsHigh-level financial analysis and reporting expertiseDemonstrated people management and leadership skillsExperience in product-based or cost accounting environments requiredPreferred Qualifications:ERP migration leadership experienceStrong change-management and communication skillsEmail resume to: sarah@maiplacement.com
