Project Engineer

Job Description:

• Working with projects managers on all aspects of a project from bid through project close out
• Assisting in bidding out projects to subcontractors, estimating for self-performed work and preparing proposals
• Assisting project manager with prime contract and issuing subcontracts
• Integral part of the construction team, working on submittals, change orders, RFI’s, project documents, project meetings, invoicing owner, reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices and overall project processes
• Liaison between office and field
• Participate in trade shows and industry organizations

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with a preference in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 1 ½ years’ experience as a project engineer
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Project
• Good understanding of all trades-including MEP
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Client centered approach with a focus on customer development and satisfaction
• Possess a “do whatever it takes” attitude
• Creative thinker who is willing to think outside the box to achieve client goals
• Autonomous individual who enjoys working with a team
• Self-starter
• Excellent time management skills, fully able to set own schedule
