Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Paralegal to support our civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have experience managing all phases of civil litigation and will demonstrate strong organizational skills, initiative, and efficiency in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, revise and format pleadings, motions, discovery demands, subpoenas and legal correspondence
- File documents with courts (NYSCEF, PACER, e-filing systems, etc.)
- Prepare exhibits, affidavits, and supporting documentation
- Assemble trial binders, exhibit lists, witness lists, and deposition summaries
- Coordinate logistics for hearings, depositions, mediations and trials
- Assist attorneys with case strategy preparation and trial support
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and public access websites
- Ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines and internal procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Strong knowledge of e-filing systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
