Description
The Shop Foreman oversees the daily operations of our maintenance facilities and is responsible for managing service staff, ensuring high-quality maintenance and repairs, optimizing shop efficiency, and maintaining safety and compliance practices and standards.
- Oversee daily shop activities, including managing repair orders, monitoring work progress, and ensuring timely completion of service.
- Oversee advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on tractors and trailers.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for complex technical issues within the shop department.
- Assist with maintenance schedules and prioritizing repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Conduct quality control checks on repairs performed by team members to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Train and mentor technicians, fostering skill development across the department.
- Assist with implementing industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while handling tools and chemicals.
