Mixer – Magnolia Foods, LLC

Shift Available:

• 1st Shift: 5:45 AM – 2:00 PM (30 hours per week)

Reports To: Lead / Supervisor

Position Summary

The Mixer is responsible for accurately preparing and mixing ingredients according to the most current formulas while following all GMPs, food safety standards, and safety procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to operate and clean machinery, and consistent adherence to production specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Production & Mixing

• Prepare materials for batching.

• Follow all formulations accurately for each batch.

• Mix ingredients to produce dough according to specifications.

• Verify dough temperature and ensure it meets required standards.

• Identify and document ingredient weights and lot numbers.

• Properly cut and handle ingredient bags.

• Avoid using raw materials that are damaged, expired, or defective in appearance, color, or quality.

• Verify in‑process product meets specifications (color, appearance, diameter, weight).

Equipment Operation & Cleaning

• Start up and shut down machinery safely and correctly.

• Verify machinery temperatures are within product specifications.

• Perform line cleaning, including all equipment.

• Assist machine operators during breaks or lunch periods.

• Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete daily production reports accurately.

• Document all required information on mixing logs.

• Report any discrepancies in product or machinery to the Lead or Supervisor.

• Order materials from the warehouse as needed.

Safety & Compliance

• Comply with all Plant, State, and Federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF.

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Other Duties

• Perform additional tasks as assigned based on department or business needs.
