SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

       Production lead is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing of products in a production plant are carried out efficiently and with strict adherence to quality standards. He/she leads other members of the production department and co-coordinating several activities, including operating machines, production, processing, packaging, and sorting. Ensure that safety rules and procedures are strictly followed in the production department. The production lead understands the quality of the product and ensures it is never compromised.

DUTIES

• A production lead works in a machine-controlled environment therefore, he/she 

           must be able to operate, troubleshoot, and perform small adjustments on machines.

    as necessary.     

• Works with management to plan and control activities of the production department 
• Enforces safety rules to avoid injuries in case of accidents and informs the supervisor of production hazards.
• Ensure that all employees wear safety personal protective equipment during production and monitor all team members to ensure adherence to instructions.
• Ensures the production schedule is correct, reviews production reports, and keep track of employee’s attendance to inform the supervisor. 
• Inspect works done by team members to ensure that they meet company standards of good quality. 
• Must be a swift learner and able to train new and existing employees and so would be expected to have excellent problem-solving skills to effectively handle challenges and production issues.
• A production lead must also know how to delegate tasks to other members of his/her team.
• He/she would always also be expected to understand the importance of time management and to be proactive.

Salary : $19 - $22
