Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader to drive the Enterprise Architecture process across our organization. This role is central to shaping how our business functions, processes, and information are defined, structured, and evolved over time. The ideal candidate will provide expert facilitation and governance across architecture initiatives, guiding project teams through solution design and architectural review processes while developing and maintaining comprehensive roadmaps that align technology investments with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and facilitation for the Enterprise Architecture process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic direction
Lead planning sessions and architectural assessments to manage and guide EA roadmaps across the enterprise
Describe and document the organization's business in terms of its core functions, business processes, and business information
Guide project teams on their overall solution approach, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices
Facilitate engagement between project teams and the various architecture domain teams throughout the project lifecycle
Assist project teams in preparing documentation and presentations for architecture review and approval meetings
Evaluate emerging technologies and architectural trends to inform strategic planning and roadmap development
Establish and maintain architecture governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology optimization
Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Skills
Strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar methodologies
Ability to translate business requirements into architectural solutions and technology roadmaps
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic, big-picture mindset
Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging diverse stakeholder groups
Experience with business process modeling and business information architecture
Proficiency in architecture governance and review processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive consensus across cross-functional teams
Knowledge of cloud computing, integration patterns, and modern technology platforms
Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce clear and concise architectural artifacts
Experience
7 years of experience in information technology, with a focus on enterprise or solution architecture
Proven experience leading enterprise architecture initiatives within a large, complex organization
Demonstrated experience facilitating architecture reviews and governance processes
Experience working within the energy, utilities, or similarly regulated industry is preferred
Track record of successfully developing and managing technology roadmaps aligned to business strategy
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture certification strongly preferred
Additional certifications in cloud architecture or related disciplines are a plus
