We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineering professional to join our team in a dynamic and impactful role supporting the full lifecycle of a utility-scale wind generation project. This position plays a critical part in the development, design, construction, and execution phases of the project, serving as a key technical resource on-site and within the broader project team. Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough design reviews to ensure compliance with Owner specifications, project requirements, and applicable engineering standards
- Manage the EPC submittal, transmittal, and Request for Information (RFI) processes throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide on-site engineering technical expertise to support construction and commissioning activities
- Support testing and system verification processes during commissioning phases
- Collaborate closely with contractors and project teams to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Ensure all engineering activities align with project goals, schedules, and quality requirements
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact on the project site for engineering-related matters
- Monitor construction activities to verify conformance with approved designs and specifications
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation related to submittals, transmittals, and RFIs
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices as applied to large-scale energy or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in design review processes and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience managing EPC submittal, transmittal, and RFI workflows in a construction environment
- Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and quality control practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges in the field
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Familiarity with commissioning processes, including testing and system verification for utility-scale energy projects
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of engineering quality
Experience:
- Prior experience on utility-scale wind, solar, or other large-scale energy generation projects is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in a project engineering or field engineering role within an EPC or Owner's engineering capacity
- Experience working directly with contractors and construction teams in a site-based environment
- Background in managing technical documentation processes including submittals, RFIs, and transmittals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is acceptable for candidates with relevant project experience
