The all-new Madison Resort Wildwood Crest, formerly known as the Oceanview Motel is a beach front property that was built in 1963, and at the time was the largest motel ever built in The Wildwoods. Recently purchased by Madison Resorts, this property was recently fully restored and won Best New Hotel by USA Today for 2025!
The property consists of a hotel, which will boast over 200 hotel rooms, multiple restaurants, multiple pools, and of course beach service with much more to come in future years.
Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager provides supervision and direction for all Housekeeping team members and ensures all cleanliness standards are met by inspecting all expectations.
Responsibilities:
Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.
Supervises work activities of guest room attendants.
Establishes standards and procedures for the housekeeping staff.
Inspects rooms for conformance to standards.
Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies.
Investigate complaints regarding equipment and take corrective action(s).
Recommends new items/equipment and/or repair of existing items/equipment.
Ensure new housekeeping staff is properly trained.
Obtains lists of rooms to be cleaned immediately and checkouts to prepare work assignments (schedules).
Maintains inventories to ensure adequate supplies are available to execute responsibilities (establish par values for each commodity).
Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operations.
Prepares department payroll (verifies/approves employee timecards for accuracy).
Manages the hiring of new team members.
Coaches team member performance to improve behaviors/work ethic.
Should the demand warrant it, the Housekeeping Manager is expected to work alongside the department staff to ensure rooms are ready before guests arrive. Must be physically able to perform these duties.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
At least 3 years’ experience in Supervisory/Management/Assistant Housekeeping position.
Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a consistent basis.
Must be able to push/pull up to 35 pounds.
