What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor/Delivery- Operating Room Scrub Tech-(PRN) position at Madison Memorial Hospital?
Madisonhealth is seeking a scrub tech to assist the surgeons during the performance of surgical procedures and acts as a nurse assist including clerical duties. Assures that the Operating Room is adequately prepared for procedure, monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Provides direct and indirect patient care under direction of the QTL/charge nurse in the Family Maternity setting following and being consistent with the unit’s standards of care. Communicates respectfully and with consideration to staff, patients, their families, and providers
Schedule: PRN
- Variable schedule (to be discussed in interview)
Required Skills:
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff.
- CNA skills
Minimum Work Experience:
- Three years of CNA/EMT experience in a clinical or structured setting (hospital, clinic, long term care, ambulance service) is preferred.
Minimum Education:
- Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or current valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
