Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed credit analyses—including financial performance reviews, cash flow assessments, and evaluation of industry/market positioning.
- Develop financial projections, valuation workups, recovery analyses, and sensitivity modeling to support credit recommendations.
- Compare prospective borrowers to industry peers and synthesize industry trends to inform risk perspectives.
- Produce clear, concise, and well-supported written credit opinions with recommendations for approval, decline, or structural adjustments.
- Recommend risk ratings for borrowers and transactions based on quantitative and qualitative assessment.
- Conduct periodic portfolio reviews, including annual and quarterly assessments of assigned relationships.
- Participate in external meetings with syndicate partners, clients, rating agencies, legal teams, and internal partners as part of ongoing deal review and monitoring.
- Continuously monitor borrower-specific and sector-level indicators (e.g., equity movement, credit spreads, market signals) and escalate emerging risks to leadership.
- Ensure adherence to internal credit standards and act as a liaison between internal stakeholders to align on credit issues, deal structuring, and policy compliance.
