Summary of Position
Responsible for maximizing community awareness of the center and its mission along with prevention efforts within the community. Communication of the Center through a comprehensive community/prevention development plan to include community outreach, center communication, and prevention programing. Functions as an extended part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide a professional and child friendly environment to assist in the investigation of child sexual abuse and serious physical abuse.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive community outreach/prevention development plan with the assistance of the Executive Director and CAC Boards.
- Develop, coordinate special event campaigns for the Center as part of community outreach and awareness.
- Provide community outreach and training in relation to the mission and goals of the Madison County Child Advocacy Center to support our MDT in partnership with MDT coordinators and Center Director.
- Manage the Center’s Prevention program.
- Create and implement the Center’s annual report, newsletters, and press releases with the approval of the Executive Director.
- Create and implement communication, marketing, and social media content for the Center and assist the Executive Director in managing the Center’s website and social media platforms.
- Develop and maintain constant contact for the Center.
- Develop staff committees as appropriate and relevant to job duties to support Centers Mission.
- Contribute positively to the work environment and be a constructive contributor to the CAC team.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties listed above.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human service field or other non-profit funds development degrees with related experience will be considered. Three (3) years in non-profit. Outstanding, relevant experience of less than three years and/or proven successful experience with special events and fundraising; and proven connections and networking within the community may be considered. Madison County residency required. A valid driver’s license is also required.
Physical Requirements
The employee may be required to walk or move up to 200 feet from primary desk. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
