Responsibilities:
- Operate and fine-tune production equipment to ensure steady line flow and consistent product quality.
- Track waste, blend ratios, and product uniformity through process monitoring systems.
- Start up, shut down, and sequence machinery for changeovers, downtime, or emergency situations.
- Manage water system functions to uphold product standards while minimizing usage.
- Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and supervisory teams to maximize production efficiency.
- Perform routine quality inspections (such as peel loss, salinity, and grid checks) and record findings in quality systems.
- Keep work areas clean and sanitary; assist with scheduled cleanups and sanitation activities.
- Take ownership of equipment from even-flow bins through fryers and freezing systems.
- Adhere to all safety policies and consistently wear required protective gear.
- Contribute to plant safety initiatives and set a positive example in maintaining a safe work culture.
Required Skills:
- MUST be able to work away from home, travel to the job site, and be able to stay there for a minimum of 90 days
- Must be able to repeatedly push, pull, and pick up 50lbs.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and stand for long periods of time
- Comfortable operating computers, touchscreens (HMI), and using two-way communication devices
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Open to completing all required safety and operational training (such as Sanitation and Lockout/Tagout)
- Forklift certification is a plus, or the ability to obtain one after hire
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safe chemical handling practices
Preferred: Previous experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment
Preferred: Exposure to optical sorting systems or comparable technologies
