Requirements / Qualifications
Under direct supervision of the assigned administrator, administer behavior management techniques in both general education and special education classrooms and specific to individuals with emotional disturbance, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or severe intellectual disabilities who are exhibiting maladaptive behaviors; use de-escalation techniques and control stimuli in the learning environment that may trigger students; implement supportive interventions; support the classroom staff in teaching replacement behaviors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and a minimum of two years experience working with individuals with varying behavioral needs. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Incumbent must maintain the Registered Behavioral Technician certification by meeting the annual Behavioral Analyst Certification Board requirements. Incumbent will be required to attend training in effective crisis intervention techniques, behavioral intervention case management, and any other trainings deemed necessary. Certification in CPR and first aid. Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license. Incumbents must be insurable by the liability carrier for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools. THE FOLLOWING MUST BE SUBMITTED:
