Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately according to established standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders, handle cash and card transactions, and ensure accurate billing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any questions or concerns with a positive attitude.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities through friendly suggestions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food preparation zones in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with food handling duties including bussing tables, restocking supplies, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment use to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or quick service restaurant environments; culinary experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
