Our client is an industry leader in water related technologies and infrastructure; with a particular emphasis in the chemical feed and disinfection areas of water and wastewater treatment.


The water and wastewater treatment market is one of the most exciting areas for sales and engineering professionals. The U.S. EPA and the American Society for Civil Engineers estimate that required rehabilitation and improvements to the existing U.S. water infrastructure will require anywhere from $300 billion to over $500 billion over the next 20 years.


The HR Generalist will provide professional support to the Company’s goals for recruitment and day-to-day HR administration. This full-time position will report to the Director of Human Resources and be based out of one of the Company’s three main facilities in Norcross, Atlanta; Vineland, New Jersey; or Grain Valley, Missouri.


Essential Job Functions


• Source applicants through various avenues, ensuring that all candidates are flowing through the Company’s applicant tracking system.

• Act as liaison between candidates and the hiring managers, setting up interviews as needed.

• Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, ensuring proper documentation storage.

• Ensure annual compliance reporting (such as EEO-1, AAP, CA Pay Data Reporting, etc.) is done on time and in accordance with state and federal laws.

• Coordinate initial onboarding for new hires, improving new hire initiatives as appropriate.

• Maintain Company org chart.

• Facilitate the weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for one of the Company’s subsidiaries.

• Working closely with various departments as needed to accomplish special projects.

• Assist in compiling employee information for benefits renewal, audits, etc.

• Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

• Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

• Facilitate new hire orientation and employee off-boarding.

• Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

• Other duties as assigned. 2 Required Qualifications • 2-5 years' experience working in a human resources role.

• Ability to travel 1-2 times per year to the Company’s various offices in California, Colorado, Michigan, Georgia, Missouri and/or New Jersey.

• Ability to work well independently and with others.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Ability to prioritize tasks.

• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

• Thorough knowledge of federal employment laws and regulations.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and intranet. Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Management, Human Resources, or similar. • HRCI or SHRM professional certifications.

• Experience or HRCI/SHRM certification in California-specific employment law.

Work Environment

• 100% Office setting.


Physical Demands


• Ability to sit for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

• Ability to look at computer monitors for much of the workday

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
