About the Role
The Senior Director of Clinical Operations - Allergy is a senior service‑line leader responsible for overseeing clinical operations, financial performance, and operational execution across a multi‑state Allergy service line. This role works in close partnership with physician leaders and cross‑functional enterprise teams to ensure consistent, high‑performing operations across all Allergy locations.
This individual translates strategic priorities into scalable operating models, drives performance improvement initiatives, and supports the ongoing growth and operational maturity of the Allergy service line while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience, quality of care, and provider engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Operational Oversight
- Serve as a senior operational leader for the Allergy service line across multiple markets.
- Partner with physician leaders to implement clinical and operational standards that promote consistency, efficiency, and quality of care.
- Oversee day‑to‑day clinical operations, ensuring effective workflows, staffing models, and patient access.
- Support and lead change initiatives related to growth, standardization, and operational transformation.
Financial & Performance Management
- Support development and management of annual operating and staffing budgets for the Allergy service line.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to volume, productivity, staffing, access, and financial outcomes.
- Identify and execute initiatives to improve operational efficiency and financial performance without compromising clinical quality.
- Utilize benchmarking and performance data to guide goal setting and operational improvements.
Strategic Execution & Growth Support
- Collaborate with physician and operational leadership to execute service‑line growth initiatives and strategic priorities.
- Assist in the development of business cases for new programs, market expansion, or operational investments.
- Assess clinic capacity, patient demand, and resource utilization to support sustainable growth.
Quality, Access & Continuous Improvement
- Implement and maintain standards for clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience.
- Lead initiatives focused on improving access, throughput, provider productivity, and care delivery models.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement across all locations.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory considerations, and evolving best practices in Allergy care.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to Allergy managers and site‑level operational leaders.
- Work cross‑functionally with finance, revenue cycle, HR, and other centralized teams to ensure aligned execution.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and performance‑oriented culture within the service line.
- Serve as a key liaison between physicians, operational leadership, and enterprise stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred (not required).
- 6 years of progressive experience in clinical operations or healthcare practice management specialized within Allergy.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi‑site operations in an ambulatory care environment.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, staffing models, and patient access management.
- Solid financial and analytical skills with experience monitoring budgets and operational performance.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented healthcare platform.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills, particularly in physician‑aligned environments.
