Immediate opening for an Accounts Payable/Receptionist at a manufacturing company in South Mobile County. In this role, you will be the vital link between our company and vendors, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments. A per-employment drug screen is required.
Duties:
- Excellent communication skills answering multi phone line.
- Process and verify vendor invoices using accounting software such as Sage.
- Manage accounts payable functions including invoice coding and timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger with general ledger records through detailed account reconciliation and journal entries.
- Handle customer service inquiries related to billing, payments, and account status with professionalism and clarity.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, including data entry of invoices, payments, and vendor information.
- Sending quotes for a company salesman.
Experience:
- Proven experience in accounts payable functions
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Sage, Excel and Microsoft Office or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, and analysis skills for accurate financial reporting.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency) along with attention to detail in bookkeeping tasks.
- This position pays $18.00 per hour, 40 hours per week M-F 8:00 to 4:30.
