What You’ll Do
- Design electrical control systems for large machine tools and retrofit projects
- Develop schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical
- Select and specify components including drives, PLCs, CNC systems, sensors, and safety devices
- Create complete electrical documentation packages (schematics, BOMs, layouts)
- Support panel build, wiring, and electrical installation during machine assembly
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and system validation during integration
- Collaborate with controls, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful builds
- Travel to support machine startup and commissioning
This role doesn’t stop at design—you’ll see your work through build, test, and final delivery.
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience designing industrial electrical or control systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical
- Strong understanding of drives, motors, control panels, and electrical systems
- Ability to read, create, and maintain detailed electrical documentation
- Working knowledge of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, EtherCAT, etc.)
- Hands-on mindset with interest in how designs perform in the real world
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Bonus Experience (Helpful, Not Required)
- CNC systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain)
- Machine tool or custom equipment experience
- Exposure to system integration, testing, or commissioning

Pay Transparency
In accordance with New York State law, the expected salary range for this position is $95,000 – $125,000 per year.
We are open to candidates at different experience levels within this range. Compensation will be based on experience, skillset, and overall fit for the role.
