About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Trailer Maintenance Specialist to join our dedicated service team. In this role, you will ensure the operational integrity of heavy-duty transportation equipment by performing expert diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and structural repairs to keep our fleet performing at its peak.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive inspections and troubleshooting to identify mechanical or structural issues in trailers, including dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds.
- Execute high-quality repairs and rebuilds on critical components such as braking systems, electrical wiring, landing gear, and frame assemblies.
- Document all maintenance activities and repair processes accurately to maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians on complex work orders to ensure efficient equipment turnaround.
- Provide professional communication with customers and vendors to address service needs and resolve technical inquiries effectively.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace while utilizing hand and power tools to perform precise mechanical adjustments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in mechanical, carpentry, or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments for mechanical repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as installing panels, rails, and wheel end components.
- Must possess a personal set of hand tools.
- Successful completion of a background check, physical, and drug screening.
