Machine Operator

Palmer Manufacturing is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as machine operators for both our 1st and 2nd shifts. You will be tasked with managing coating processes and various production duties to create high-quality surface protection goods. Your primary focus will be maintaining strict quality, safety, and health protocols to ensure every item aligns with our client requirements.

Core Duties

• Execute the creation of finished goods by following specific work orders and technical requirements
• Utilize the 475 machine by strictly adhering to established manufacturing procedures and safety guidelines
• Help maintain high product standards by observing cleanliness and quality throughout the manufacturing cycle
• Alert supervisors immediately regarding any defective materials or operational malfunctions
• Maintain precise logs of all quality control and production output tasks
• Prepare necessary production inputs, including inks, adhesives, and coatings
• Mount and set plates onto shafts to prepare for production runs
• Assist with general material handling to support overall facility operations
• Promote a safe and organized workspace by upholding rigorous housekeeping standards

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of professional experience operating machinery in a manufacturing setting, with a preference for backgrounds in laminating, slitting, or coating
• Ability to lift loads weighing up to 40 pounds
• Capacity to follow instructions while working effectively both solo and as part of a collaborative group
• A reliable employment record combined with a proactive, success-oriented mindset
• Successful completion of a background screening and drug test

Shift Details and Compensation

• 1st shift hours are 7am to 3pm at a rate of $19 per hour
• 2nd shift hours are 3pm to 11pm at a rate of $20.50 per hour
• Standard work week runs Monday through Friday
• This position is a temp-to-hire role
