- Interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately determine welding parameters and project requirements.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, adhering to safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on completed welds to verify compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely project completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in welding is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience as a welder, with proven proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding techniques, material properties, and relevant safety regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including blueprints and engineering drawings.
Preferred Skills
- Welding certification.
