About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational readiness of our industrial equipment and facilities. In this role, you will be instrumental in performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and executing necessary repairs. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will be critical to minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements, to extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to address complex maintenance challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Procure necessary parts and supplies, tracking purchase requisitions to maintain adequate inventory levels.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a heavy industrial setting.
- Proficiency in reading technical documents, schematics, and service manuals.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, and work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Skills
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Specific knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Certification in a relevant maintenance field.
