About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to ensure the optimal performance of our production and facility equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems, performing essential maintenance on processing and packaging machinery, and upholding stringent safety standards. Your expertise in electrical systems and mechanical repairs will be critical to our success.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, repairing or replacing components as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on food processing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, conveyors, coolers, and other auxiliary systems to support continuous production.
- Disassemble and reassemble complex machinery, including slicing and packaging equipment, with precision.
- Contribute to equipment installation projects, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
- Promote and enforce safety and GMP standards throughout all maintenance operations, fostering a safe working environment.
- Interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to facilitate accurate troubleshooting and repairs.

Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Foundational knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics systems.
- Ability to perform a skills assessment to demonstrate technical competence.
- Comfortable working occasional Saturdays as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting or basic programming.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing, packaging, and processing machinery.
- Exposure to ammonia refrigeration systems or industrial utilities.
