Macdonald & Company has been retained by a leading real estate developer to appoint a Senior Project Manager for a high-profile multifamily development. This individual will play a critical, site-based role overseeing the execution of a large-scale urban project and acting as the primary point of contact for all on-site construction activities.
Relationships are critical to success in this role, and the Senior Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination across all project stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with community officials, general contractors/construction managers, design professionals, consultants, property management teams, and development partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or Real Estate preferred
- 6 years of experience in large-scale, urban multifamily development
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Experience with high-rise construction strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of local construction markets is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Management
- Oversee General Contractor/Construction Manager and resolve construction-related issues in a timely manner
- Manage design consultants and coordinate across all project stakeholders
- Lead weekly OAC meetings and other site coordination meetings
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, inspection authorities, and local officials
- Review and negotiate change orders to ensure scope accuracy and cost fairness
- Maintain organized project documentation and provide regular reporting on schedule, budget, and progress
- Review construction schedules and monitor updates from the GC/CM
- Manage project budget, including change order tracking and monthly cost reporting
- Review and approve payment applications and maintain forecasted cost reports
- Oversee quality control processes across internal teams, third parties, and contractors
- Partner with GC/CM on subcontractor scope development and procurement
- Coordinate lender/partner draw inspections and requisition processes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change directives
Salary : $165,000 - $200,000
