The firm is seeking a Development Project Manager - Retail to join its Northern California office. This individual will support the execution of tenant and landlord construction projects across the portfolio, coordinating small-shop and anchor tenant buildouts from lease execution through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design, permitting, and construction process to deliver tenant spaces in line with lease requirements and timing.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, tracking budgets, schedules, and deliverables across assets.
- Act as a point of contact between tenants, architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Review leases, plans, and construction documents to ensure alignment with design standards and obligations.
- Assist in managing project budgets, contracts, and landlord work scopes in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Help resolve day-to-day design and construction issues to keep projects on track.
- Prepare project updates and reporting for internal teams.
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience in project management, construction, or tenant coordination, ideally within retail.
- Exposure to managing tenant improvement or landlord work projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret leases, architectural drawings, and project budgets.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project tracking tools preferred.
- Ability to travel to project sites within the region.
