The business originates primarily short-term bridge loans, predominantly single-family, with a high volume of transactions and a need for accuracy and speed in execution.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role overseeing accounting across a high-volume lending business, where each loan operates as its own entity within a broader intercompany structure. The position will manage day-to-day accounting, investor distributions, and financial reporting, while also improving processes and supporting leadership with financial visibility as the business grows.
The role reports directly into ownership and will oversee a small team, with responsibility for both execution and oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing accounting across a large volume of entities tied to individual loan structures and corporate entities
- Managing intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and consolidations across a complex structure
- Owning month-end close, financial reporting, and investor distributions, including waterfall calculations in Yardi
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and loan activity
- Acting as a key liaison with external accountants on audits and tax work
- Improving processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure as the platform scales
- Supporting leadership with financial insight, reporting, and strategic decision-making
