What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floating Property Manager position at Mabey's Self Storage?
Mabey’s Self Storage is a local, family owned and operated company that continues to grow in the Capital District and is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for our self storage facilities. The goal of a proficient Assistant Manager would be to step into a Property Manager position when the opportunity arises. Those with property management and extensive customer service experience are encouraged to apply. The Assistant Property Manager would be responsible for every aspect of running the facility. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining office, office machines, and computer
- Show units and packing materials to prospective customers
- Assist in light maintenance and cleaning duties, including maintaining curb appeal and property beautification
- Sole responsibility for collecting rent, bank deposits, handling delinquent accounts, and renting storage units
- Comply with, and explain to customers, our policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Communication skills, written and verbal
- High energy and the drive to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of computers, experience with property management software preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion
- Reliable transportation as punctuality is imperative
- Property management, self storage, and office experience is desired, but not a requirement for the right candidate
- Available to work Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am-1:00pm
Compensation & Benefits:

- Paid holidays after 90 days of employment to include: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
