What are the responsibilities and job description for the SLAB Crew Chief position at M.T. Constructors?
We are a growing construction company looking for an experienced Slab Crew Chief to lead our concrete slab crew. If you take pride in quality work, can lead a team effectively, and have experience with residential or commercial concrete slabs, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise slab crew members on job sites.
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Coordinate layout, grading, forming, reinforcement, and concrete placement.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards.
- Train and mentor crew members.
- Communicate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a slab crew leader or foreman.
- Strong knowledge of concrete slab construction, forming, rebar placement, and finishing.
- Ability to read blueprints and site plans.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
